CALDWELL BOARD OF HEALTH
The Caldwell Health Department is located at 1 Provost Square, within the Caldwell Community Center and is open Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm. We can be reached by calling 973.403.4623 or by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Caldwell Board of Health is responsible for the day to day functions of the Health Department which includes the administering of retail food and pet licenses, handling complaints, and Vital Statistics, which includes the recording of all Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Civil Unions that occur within a municipality.
10 ESSENTIAL PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
The Caldwell Board of Health is dedicated to providing the highest level of public health services to our residents. The Health Department works to ensure that the 1/10 Essential Public Health Services" are met. These include:
Monitor health status to identify and solve community health problems.
Diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community.
Inform, educate, and empower people about health issues.
Mobilize community partnerships and action to identify and solve health problems.
Develop policies and plans that support individual and community health efforts.
Enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety.
Link people to needed personal health services and assure the provision of health care when otherwise unavailable.
Assure competent public and personal health care workforce.
Evaluate effectiveness, accessibility, and quality of personal and population-based health services.
Research for new insights and innovative solutions to health problems.
