 How do I obtain a passport?

The Essex County Clerk's Office issues Passports for Essex County Residents, which includes Caldwell. To schedule an appointment with the County Clerk's Office, click here. All passport appointments are held at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Justice Building, located at 495 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Newark, NJ 07102.  How do I dispose of a rug, couch, or other furniture?

Bulk Garbage Collection:

  • 2nd Wednesday of the month – Monday & Thursday Garbage Route

  • 4th Wednesday of the Month -  Tuesday & Friday Garbage Route.

 

The Borough offers multiple free mobile applications that can help residents keep track of the garbage and recycling collections. Please download the "Recycling Coach" app and/or the "Remyndr" app to get the latest updates on the garbage and recycling schedules. 

 How do I dispose of an any appliance that contains a chemical refrigerant?

Appliances with chemical refrigerant require special handling and disposal. In order to dispose of them, three recycling stickers must be purchased from Borough Hall (either by mail or in person), affixed to the item, and arrangements made with Public Works Department for curbside collection. The Department of Public Works collections these items every Friday. The total cost for recycling stickers for these items is $30 per item.
