An application for a taxicab license must be completed for each individual vehicle. In addition to the completed application, the applicant shall submit the fee of $25.00, proof of insurance, license and registration, and delivery a power of attorney to the Borough Clerk pursuant to N.J.S.A. 48:16-5.

$25 fee must be paid in cash or check, made out to the Borough of Caldwell.

A license will be issued for a one-year term commencing on April 1st and expiring on March 31st.

A license shall not be issued until the applicant and application have been reviewed and approved by the Borough Clerk and Police Chief. Upon approval by the Borough Clerk and Police Chief the application will be forwarded to the Borough Council for final action prior to issuance of a license
