Heat Advisory Tips
With the area being under an Extreme Heat Advisory until 7pm on June 15th, Caldwell's OEM office would like to remind everyone to limit their time outside today. Please remember to check on your neighbors (especially the elderly), limit use of electrical items, hydrate, and avoid being outside for long stretches of time. Any heat related complaints should be directed to the Health Department, by calling Anakaren at 973-403-4623 or emailing her at amillan@caldwell-nj.com.
Should anyone need of escaping the heat, Essex County does have some cooling centers opening. In Caldwell, the Irene Gibbons Health and Human Services Building, located at 14 Park Avenue, is open Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30pm.
The Essex County Codey Arena is available to the public as a cooling center.
