New Civic Center Construction

🚧 Work is officially underway at the former Caldwell Public Library as contractors begin demolition of the staircases and installation of a new French drain system in the basement.

These improvements address the significant damage caused by the major flooding events that ultimately led to the closure of the former library. While those floods marked the end of one chapter, they also paved the way for the beautiful new Municipal Building and Caldwell Public Library at 80 Bloomfield Avenue, where residents now enjoy modern, accessible facilities.

Now, we're transforming the former library into Caldwell's future Civic Center; another investment in our community and another step forward for our borough.
