Local Assistance Board Fund Seeking Donations

At the last Local Assistance Board meeting, there was a unanimous vote to change the name of the Caldwell Welfare Fund, to the Caldwell Local Assistance Fund. We believe this name change, clearly state the purpose and intent of the fund and those who benefit from this program. The Caldwell Local Assistance Fund provides emergency assistance to residents who are facing hard times. Residence can apply for assistance with rent, PSE&G bills, the like if they have fallen behind in payments. All requests are reviewed and approved by the Local Assistance Board of the Borough of Caldwell.

At this time, we are looking for donations to this fund. 100% of all donations directly impact individuals who are currently in need of a helping hand: and are tax deductible. To date in 2021, we have assisted four families and enabled them to stay in their home by providing rental assistance.  With your help we can continue our mission of providing assistance for local residents and while giving them hope and compassion during their time of greatest need. We understand that these are challenging times for everyone financially; however, the need is exceptional. We ask that you please consider making a financial donation. Your donation, made payable to the Caldwell Local Assistance Fund, can be dropped off or mailed to Borough Hall at 1 Provost Square, Caldwell, NJ  07006.
