Water Department
Caldwell is fortunate to have an excellent supply of drinking water from Artesian Wells in Essex Fells; residential accounts are billed quarterly.
Any questions related to your bills should be directed to the Water Department.
Make your water payment online!
The Borough of Caldwell is now offering Automatic Payment for Tax and Utilities bills!
If you are not a Registered User with the online payment system, Use the link above to access the online portal. Then click the “New Users: Click Here to Register” link to create an account. The Borough of Caldwell uses a third-party company for the Auto Pay process so there will be a fee for all debit and credit card payments that will be about 2.95% of your total bill. If you pay by ACH or e-check, a $1.95 convenience fee is added. Please contact Brad Taylor at 973-226-6347 if you have any questions.
Please be advised that the Caldwell Water Department will be conducting water service line investigations throughout the Borough. To conduct their investigation, a Borough Representative may ask to enter your home to check the connection of your water service line to the water meter. If you are not home, you can schedule an appointment for a later date and time. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you for all of your cooperation with this matter.
